Advanced Technology Services Honored For Flawless Safety Record at South Carolina Plants
State Chamber of Commerce recognizes maintenance company for its performance at 6 factories in 2008
Greenville, SC, (March 24, 2009) – Advanced Technology Service (ATS) will be recognized Wednesday by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce for its superior safety record in 2008. ATS recorded zero safety incidents at six plants in the state, as measured by regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
The Chamber of Commerce’s Safety Awards program is designed to recognize companies and their employees who had commendable records during the year.
ATS reported a perfect zero incident safety performance at six South Carolina plants where the company performs maintenance activities. Those plants are: Caterpillar Corporation in Greenville; Eaton Corporation in Sumter, Greenwood and North Charleston; AO Smith Corporation in McBee; and Honeywell Corporation in Spartenburg.
Scott Stone, ATS safety manager, said safety is part of the company’s culture. He noted that 38 of 66 plants at which ATS performs maintenance activities had zero safety incidents last year. “This focus on safety adds value to our service for our customers,” Stone said. “It’s just one more quantifiable way we make factories run better.”
The Chamber will honor ATS and the other winners of the 2008 Safety Awards at a noon luncheon meeting Wednesday at the Radisson Hotel Columbia.
