Students attend school full time Monday through Thursday. Classes are held at Greenville Tech’s Braisher campus and taught by Greenville Technical College instructors. The cost to the student is tuition. Please visit the Greenville Tech admissions website for current tuition rates: http://www.gvltec.edu/display.aspx?id=378. There is also a $35 application fee due to Greenville Tech at the time you submit your application. ATS will pay for all book and lab supplies for the student. Financial assistance and veteran funding are available through Greenville Technical College and the South Carolina Education Lottery.

Upon successful completion of the program the student will receive a Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Occupational Certificate with approximately 39 semester hours of college credit. These accrued credit hours can be applied toward a two-year associate’s degree. Additionally, those who successfully complete the program will have the opportunity for employment with ATS. Those who become full- time employees with ATS may choose to complete their degree using ATS’ tuition reimbursement benefit.
After completion of the MST program, associate level technicians can begin their careers with ATS at a minimum of $16.50 per hour. However, previous education, experience and cost of living are also considered when determining starting pay and level. As skill level increases and experience is gained, the earning potential will increase from this starting point. Our top level positions within the technical maintenance career path without a 4-year degree can earn between $60,000 and $70,000 per year without overtime.
