How much will this program cost?
Students will be responsible for the cost of tuition for the program.. Please visit Greenville Tech’s admissions website for current information on tuition costs:
http://www.gvltec.edu/display.aspx?id=378. There is also a $35 application fee due to Grenville Tech at the time you submit your application. Books and lab supplies will be paid for by ATS. However, most books will be returned at the end of each course.
I am not a resident of South Carolina. Will I be charged a higher tuition fee?
It depends. Greenville Technical College can provide a limited number of out-of-state students with the in-state tuition rate each year. These will be granted on financial need and on a first-come first-serve basis. For out-of-state tuition rates, please contact the financial aid department.
Is financial aid available?

Will I receive a degree after the program?
No, this is a certification program. You will receive an Occupational Certificate for Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance from Greenville Technical College.
Are there college credits given for these courses?
Credits accrued in this certificate program can be applied towards a two-year associate's degree.
How long does the program last?
Program duration is approximately 40 weeks of class time and spans across the fall, summer, and spring semesters.
How many days per week will I be in class?
Classes will be held Monday through Thursday, eight hours per day.
Will I get hands-on training with this program?
Yes. The program consists of classroom lectures as well as hands-on training and lab work.
Will I be guaranteed a job at the completion of the program?
It is the intent of ATS to provide full-time employment to those individuals who successfully complete the program and display all of the desired cultural traits, professionalism and motivation to support our customers.
What are the eligibility requirements to participate in the program?
A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required. Applicants must provide an official transcript(s) for high school and post high school education and training. All GED records must be submitted if applicable.
Applicants will be subject to testing focused on mechanical aptitude and applied math. These tests determine the potential to be successful in the program.
Applicants should be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the program without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of the individual or others. Qualified candidates will meet the physical demands/work environment essentials listed within the Associate Maintenance Technician job description.
The image portrayed by the ATS workforce is very important to us. All applicants must posses a high level of professional appearance to be accepted and to maintain eligibility in the ATS program.
What are the expectations for the participants in the program?
There will be student expectation requirements regarding academic performance, classroom behavior, attendance, tardiness, professional image and safety.
