How much will this program cost?
Students will be responsible for the cost of tuition for the program. Please visit Spartanburg Community College’s

There is also a $25 application fee
due to SCC at the time you submit your application.
I am not a resident of South Carolina. Will I be charged a higher tuition fee?

Is financial aid available?

Will I receive a degree after the program?
No, this is a certification program. You will receive an Occupational
Certificate for Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance from Spartanburg Community
College.
Are there college credits given for these courses?
Credits accrued in this certificate program can be applied towards an Associate's degree.
How long does the program last?
The program duration is approximately 40 weeks of class time and spans across the fall, summer, and spring semesters.
How many days per week will I be in class?
Most classes will be held Monday through Thursday, approximately eight hours per day.
Will I get hands-on training with this program?
Yes. The program consists of classroom lectures as well as hands-on training and lab work.
Will I be guaranteed a job at the completion of the program?
It is the intent of ATS to provide full-time employment to those individuals who successfully complete the program and display all of the desired cultural traits, professionalism and motivation to support our customers.
What are the eligibility requirements to participate in the program?
A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required. Applicants must provide their official transcript(s) for high school and post high school education and training.
Applicants will complete testing focused on mechanical aptitude and applied math. These tests determine the potential to be successful in the program.
Applicants should be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the program without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or others. Qualified candidates will meet the physical demands/work environment essentials listed within the Associate Maintenance Technician job description.
The image portrayed by the ATS workforce is very important to us. All applicants must posses a high level of professional appearance to be accepted and to maintain eligibility in the ATS program.
