How much will this program cost?
Students will be reponsible for the tuition costs associated with the program. There are 42 credit hours associated with the program.

I am not a resident of Illinois. Will I be charged a higher tuition fee?
No. All students enrolling in the ATS program generally qualify for the in-state tuition fee.

Is financial aid available?
GI Bill and financial assistance are available through the financial aid office at Illinois Central College. For more information on grant programs, scholarships and financial aid, click here.
Will I receive a degree after the program?
No. This is a certification program. You will receive an Occupational Certificate for Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance from Illinois Central College and a Multi-Skilled Technical Career Program certificate from ATS.
Are there college credits given for these courses?
Credits accrued in this certificate program can be applied towards an Associate's Degree in Industrial Electrical Technology.
How long does the program last?
The program duration is approximately 50 weeks.
How many days per week will I be in class?
Classes will be held Monday through Thursday, eight hours per day.
Will I get hands-on training with this program?
Yes. The program consists of classroom lectures, hands-on training, lab work, and the possibility of part-time or internship style work.
Will I be guaranteed a job at the completion of the program?
It is the intent of ATS to provide full-time employment to those individuals who successfully complete the program and display all of the desired cultural traits, professionalism and motivation to support our customers.
What are the eligibility requirements to participate in the program?
A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required. Applicants must provide their official transcript(s) for high school and post high school education and training.
Applicants will complete testing focused on mechanical aptitude and applied math. These tests determine the potential to be successful in the program.
Applicants should be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the program without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or others. Qualified candidates will meet the physical demands/work environment essentials listed within the Associate Maintenance Technician job description.
The image portrayed by the ATS workforce is very important to us. All applicants must possess a high level of professional appearance to be accepted and to maintain eligibility in the ATS program.
The student will be financially responsible for the program's tuition and must complete all required training.
