![]() Photo Opportunity WHAT: Members of the U.S Army's Green Beret Jump Team "The Golden Knights" will jump onto the grounds of Advanced Technology Services, Inc. (ATS), to celebrate the partnership signing ceremony between the U.S. Army's national Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) Program and ATS. As a PaYS partner, ATS will provide employment consideration to appropriately qualified soldiers leaving Army service for available skilled manufacturing positions. According to a new ATS survey of over 100 senior manufacturing executives, 72 percent say that hiring former military would reduce training costs and quickly provide skilled labor currently in high demand. Sixty-three percent of the respondents are already actively recruiting from the military because they bring highly technical skills, discipline and a strong work ethic honed while serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere back to the American workforce. In joining the PaYS Program, ATS, the industry leader in managed services for production equipment maintenance, industrial parts repair and IT infrastructure support for manufacturers, will recruit employees with the kind of manufacturing skills and qualities that industry leaders say they need to make their factories run better. WHO: ATS President & COO, Jeffrey A. Owens will sign the partnership agreement with Lt. Col. Junio-omaru Barber, commander of the St. Louis Army Recruiting Battalion, which serves the greater Peoria area. WHEN: Monday, July 24, 2006 at 11:00 AM WHERE: Advanced Technology Services, Inc. RSVP: Editors and reporters interested in attending the event and/or speaking with ATS executives should contact Erin Vadala, Warner Communications at 978-468-3076 or erin@warnerpr.com, or Christen Graham, Warner Communications at 207-829-6336 or christen@warnerpr.com. About PaYS PaYS is a strategic partnership program between the Army and a cross section of U.S. corporations and public sector agencies. The program was developed to help the Army attract, train and deploy talented young people who want to serve their country, but also want to help secure their future success once their Army service is complete. Employers that sign as corporate partners in PaYS agree to consider appropriately qualified soldiers leaving Army service for positions at those companies. Under terms of the agreement between USAREC and its PaYS partners, enlistees interested in gaining specific job training and qualifications will receive that training while in the U.S. Army. Participation by the company, soldier and Army is secured with an agreement that gives the Soldier priority consideration in the employment process. However, the company reserves the right to determine whether to ultimately hire the PaYS soldier. For more information, visit http://armypays.com |
